Description
The Bond Tester DAMI is a multi-functional, special-purpose device enabling detection and visualization of defects within composite materials, such as disbonds of honeycomb material and structure cores. The device also enables detection of corrosion within various aircraft constructions, including the chassis and disks. NDT techniques: impedance, eddy-current and impact testing methods.
When the eddy-current testing application is activated, corrosion on back sides of duralumin and aluminium sheets is detected and current-conducting material properties are checked. When the impedance testing application is activated, disbonds, delaminations and density anomalies of composite and honeycomb materials and structures are detected.
To determine the probe position on the test object, the coordinate scanner "Slider M2" is used. DAMI is applicable across six key industries that consume polymer-composite materials, covering all stages of manufacturing, technical inspection and maintenance.
